Meet the Experts: Mirian Hasani and N. Charlotte Marquardt
OUR VISION
The Kitty Shrink’s Mission is to reduce the number of owner surrenders at shelters and in turn, save the lives of countless cats that have the unfortunate fate of being euthanized in our shelter system. By educating pet parents and helping them eliminate negative behavior patterns in their cats, we can accomplish this goal. Often our program requires an equal amount of training for the human caregiver, if not more. We look forward to guiding you through our CharMir Method, and to sharing our knowledge with you and your feline(s).

Mirian Hasani and N. Charlotte Marquardt are passionate cat lovers and have dedicated their lives to rescuing, rehabilitating and working with cats.

Mirian’s love of cats is reflected in all areas of her life. She got her start in the world of felines volunteering and transporting kittens for The Cat House on the Kings, a no kill & cage free, lifesaving sanctuary. After years of working in kitty rescue, Mirian decided to take her affinity for felines one step further by getting certified as a Feline Trainer & Behavioral Specialist at the Animal Behavior Institute. She also received a diploma in Feline Behavior and Psychology at Compass Education. Her credentials include working with ASPCA, FixNation, Southern CA Siamese Rescue, Purrfect Solutions Feline Rescue, Animal Rescue Friends, San Jacinto Valley Animal Shelter and The Ark of San Juan Rescue. In addition to her commitment to these organizations, she started her own feline rescue, Lilly’s Haven. She is certified through Udemy as a Rokoyan Pet Reiki Practitioner. She has a Diploma in Feline Care & Nutrition and First Aid through Compass. She is also Red Cross Pet First Aid Certified.
N. Charlotte Marquardt

Since she was a child, Charlotte Marquardt grew up alongside veterinary professionals, her mother, aunt and uncle who worked in vet hospitals all throughout Los Angeles, Ca. It was at this time she was exposed to caring for, nurturing, and treating cats for health and behavioral issues. She continued on this path into her teenage years and began actively working in cat rescue. During this time, she trapped, spayed/neutered and adopted out hundreds of cats. These charitable actions earned her a seat on the committee of Stray Cat Alliance along with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary’s Mini & Piffi award and Animal Guardian’s Society Certificate of Valor. In 2004 she opened her own pet sitting service, K-9 Kats Pet Sitting Inc., which is still in operation today.
Notably and most recently, the K-9 Kats Team was awarded The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters 2023 Business of the Year. She then decided to take her career working with felines to the next level so naturally the next step was to get certified as a cat behavior specialist. After completing the program at The Animal Behavior Institute, she became a Certified Feline Trainer and Cat Behavioral Specialist. She is also Fear Free Certified.
